You may remember Kala and Gabi’s super fun engagement session from last year- you know, the adorable couple who ended their session with a holi powder throwdown! Well, I’m excited to finally blog their incredible wedding at Destrehan Plantation. We started the day off at their home in New Orleans, where Kala and her girls prepared for the big day. Kala loves collecting antique cameras, which of course thrilled me! As you can see, we put one of those cameras to use for a really fun shot of her dresses (I photographed them through the viewfinder of her antique camera). Kala had a fun idea to lay out her “chucks” to share significant times of the day, the shot below shows off their ceremony time. Gabi and his guys got ready nearby. It wasn’t long before everyone made their way out to Destrehan for an evening of celebration.
Once at the plantation, Kala and Gabi saw each other for the first time that day in a fun “first look”, before being joined by the wedding party and family for relaxed portraits before the ceremony. The star of the wedding party was without a doubt their adorable flower girl, just look how excited she is below! Their wedding cake was a King Cake- how New Orleans is that? Love it! This was our first time to have Snapper and the Fish Sticks as entertainment, and they totally rocked the mule barn. Kelly Sherlock was amazing as always, we just love working with her team. The timeline flowed without a glitch thanks to Kelly and her team.
