Meet the Eskews. I joined up with this beautiful family for Louisiana family portraits at Kisatchie National Forest last weekend. We wanted to make this session about more than family portraits- we wanted to make it a family adventure. For three hours, we explored Louisiana’s most beautiful forest! We started in Kisatchie Hills where I introduced the kids to “Tiger Valley.” This valley is filled with purple and gold flowers right now, hence the name! From there, we hiked the trails around Kisatchie Hills before leaving to find the “Fairy Cave”. Some call it the “Wolf Cave”, but Adele assured me that fairies live there, not wolves. We didn’t see any fairies, but we are pretty sure we heard one! After the Fairy Cave, we ventured off to Kisatchie Bayou. Adele came up with a better name for the bayou, she preferred the name, “Forest River”. So, we concluded our adventure exploring this mystical “Forest River”. There were waterfalls, white sand beaches, and tall bluffs to climb. We even discovered the famous “Happy Tree!” as you’ll see below. We were able to get some amazing images on this adventure, but more importantly- the family created some fun new memories together which they can now relive through the prints! Enjoy the Eskew’s Family Photo Adventure!
