You may remember Corrine and Anthony’s engagement pics in Corrine’s hometown of Plaquemine, LA a few months back. If not, you can check those adorable images out here: https://markeric.com/corrine-and-anthony-a-sweet-engagement-session-in-plaquemine-louisiana/.
I was fortunate enough to also be able to photograph Corrine’s beautiful bridal portraits. This time, we met up for her bridals at Windrush Gardens in Baton Rouge, LA. Windrush Gardens is part of the Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge. The area is seperated into two different parts- The Rural Life museum and Windrush Gardens. The Rural Life museum is filled with old antebellum structures, antique farming equipment, and some really unique photographic opportunities. Windsor Gardens is the more manicured area, featuring beautiful landscaped gardens and gravel walkways. The area also contains a few ponds, and an older home that has the most beautiful ivy covered steps! As you can see, we put that area to good use.
If you are interested in booking a session at Windsor Gardens, the fee is $75.00, and they usually close the gates at 5:00 pm. So- you will have to be done with the session by 5:00 pm (which works out this time of year because it’s about to start getting dark right at 5:00!) You can reach them through the Rural Life website at http://www.lsuagcenter.com/portals/burden/. The best way to reserve your appointment is to call them at (225) 765-2437.
Of course, if you are one of our clients, and would like to schedule a session there- simply let us know. We’ll make the calls and secure the spot so you don’t have to!
Look for Corrine and Anthony’s wedding to be published soon- it’s customary to wait until after the wedding to publish any of our bridal images (so that the Groom doesn’t see her in her dress before the wedding)! Their lovely wedding was held in Corrine’s hometown of Plaquemine, LA (where her dad is the mayor!) on Cinco De Mayo- and yes, quesadillas were present!
Cheers!
Mark
